Dear Parents,
Welcome both you and your children to first grade at Lerch Elementary School. I am really looking forward to working together to create the best possible learning environment. It is very important to me to get to know your child as well as possible, so I can help make school a fun and exciting and safe place for them to come to each day. Since no one knows your child better than you, I'd like to ask for your assistance in helping me get to know him/her better. I'm sending home a questionnaire this week that you can fill out together with your child. In the questionnaire, I ask things like: "What does your child like to do for fun?" Please feel free to write down anything your child enjoys. If you could return the questionnaire with your child by the end of this week that would be great!
I'd like to make you aware that I would love to have your involvement in our class during class projects, field trips and other special things that we'll be doing. If you have time during school hours and want to volunteer, please let me know.
Regular communication with both you and your child is vital to a successful school experience, so you may contact me anytime via e-mail at: mrlerch@hotmail.com or by phone at 315-555-4444. Please never hesitate to contact me if needed.
I'll be sending home a weekly newsletter to keep you up to date on what we are doing in class or you can use this website to stay up to date, since I will be placing the newsletter on this site starting next week.
